В 2009 году национальный парк “Паанаярви” попал в число самым посещаемых парков России среди иностранных туристов, об этом сообщила пресс-служба Минприроды России.

Всего в 2009 году национальные парки России посетило более 5.5 миллионов иностранных туристов. Лидерами стали: “Паанаярви” (Карелия), «Куршская коса» (Калининградская область), «Приэльбрусье» (Республика Кабардино-Балкария), «Лосиный остров» (Московская область), «Забайкальский» (Республика Бурятия) и «Прибайкальский» (Иркутская область).
